What is Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL)?

My specific area of interest and focus is on acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, or ALL. This is a type of acute leukaemia that develops out of some of the immature cells that under normal circumstances give rise to some of the really key mediators of our immune system. It's the single most common cancer in kids, but, as an adult physician, it does still affect adults. But, it's a fairly uncommon disease.
