Personalised medicine describes cancer treatments that are tailored to the particular genetic characteristics of an individual’s tumour. When asked about his take-home message from the 20th Congress of the European Hematology Association (EHA), Dr Matti Aapro of Clinique de Genolier, Genolier, Switzerland, replies by telling us how he believes recent advances in personalised medicine are changing the way we look at and treat cancer across the world.
