Deborah Sims is a British chornic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) patient living in Australia, with her 3 children and husband. In 2012, she was diagnosed with CLL, and traveled to the USA to meet with Prof. Thomas Kipps, a renowned CLL doctor, to obtain a second opinion on her treatment options. Whilst in the USA, Deborah attended a Patient Forum at the CLL Research Consortium (RCR) meeting in San Diego, CA. Prof. John Gribben, from the Barts Cancer Institute, London, UK talks about how he met Deborah, and how she went on to a clinical trial in London of obinutuzumab and venetoclax (ABT-199).
