With the passage of Healthcare Reform legislation and 32 million new people who will have health insurance, there are concerns we will be 40,000 primary care doctors short. Even now some people can’t find a primary care provider who has room for them in their practice. In this program Andrew and Peter discuss the problem and the possible solutions with one of the leaders of the nation’s #1 primary care training programs at the University of Washington. We also hear why a third year medical student is planning to be a primary care doctor, even if it means less income.
