Clinical Assistant Professor, Radiation Oncology

Dr. Carryn Anderson is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.  She received her undergraduate degree in Biology with a minor in Spanish at Luther College and her MD from the University of Texas Medical Branch.  Dr. Anderson completed her internship and residency in Radiation Oncology at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.  She is licensed and board certified in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology.  As a radiologist, Dr. Anderson has the privilege of working with oncologist from multiple disciplines including brain and spinal cord tumors, head and neck cancers, lymphoma, melanoma, and sarcoma.  Regarding her work, she says, “I think the best thing about my job is the positive feedback I get from my patients about the care that we provide….Not only me, but my entire team.”
