Making the Right Choices: Understanding Your Options to Get the Best MPN Care

A Town Meeting for MPN Patients and Care Partners

October 07, 2017
The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Duncan Building - Houston, TX

When dealing with rare blood cancers, such as myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs), it’s important to stay informed and to educate yourself about the latest advances in the field. Surrounding yourself with a trustworthy healthcare team, including an MPN specialist, is a great way to properly manage your care and treatment. On Saturday, October 7th, in Houston, Texas, Patient Power and its partner, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, will host a town meeting, featuring MPN experts Dr. Srdan Verstovsek, Dr. Abdulraheem Yacoub, clinicians and patient advocates.

By attending this town meeting, you will have the opportunity to meet and connect with other patients and care partners living with MPNs and to shape the conversation by participating in this interactive event.  Join us to learn:

  • Current and developing therapies for polycythemia vera (PV), essential thrombocythemia (ET) and myelofibrosis (MF)
  • How to find a specialist and advocate for your care
  • Tips for managing MPN symptoms and side effects

Special thanks to MPN Research Foundation for their continued partnership.
