Sylvia

Sylvia, from La Mirada, California, is living with myelofibrosis. Her fFibrosis was first detected in a bone marrow biopsy in 2004 after experiencing abnormal bloodwork after a routine exam. Sylvia was monitored by a local hematologist for 14 years until she was referred to an MPN specialist, Dr. David Snyder at City of Hope, in 2014. Seeing a specialist gives Sylvia confidence in her care. She’s tried a few treatments, some of which were clinical trials. Sylvia speaks highly of her husband and care partner who has advocated for her over the years. Today, she is feeling well and lives a wonderful life. In her spare time, Sylvia enjoys weaving, knitting, walking her dogs and plannings daily activities.
