Randall “Randy” Broad is a former international business executive from Washington State who was diagnosed with stage III non-small-cell lung cancer in 2008. At the five-year mark he remains cancer-free. As a survivor, Randy has devoted himself to empowering others by giving speeches, counseling other patients, and by writing a book: “It’s an Extraordinary Life – Don’t Miss It.” As someone who fired his first cancer specialist for not being attentive nor “expert,” Randy believes smarter, more proactive patients get better care. He feels he is alive because he adopted that approach.
