Mary Steinbach, DNP, is a Nurse Practitioner in the Division of Hematology and Hematologic Malignancies, Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Utah. She practices within the Huntsman Cancer Institute Blood and Marrow Transplant Program. As a family nurse practitioner, her clinical interests include hematology and hematologic malignancies. She began her career as a registered nurse working in hematology/oncology and internal medicine for seven years prior to obtaining her advanced degree. She has a passion for providing individualized care while focusing on the effects of illness on the lives of patients and their families.

Steinbach received her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Utah. She received her bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Loyola Chicago and a bachelor of science from Boston College. At the University of Utah, she earned a Hartford scholarship and obtained a specialty certificate in geriatric nursing. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
