She received her MD and MSc from The University of Texas and clinical and chief fellowships at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Dr. Patel is board-certified in hematology, medical oncology and internal medicine. She has received several medical awards in clinical research and excellence and has been published in numerous medical journals. Dr. Patel’s research interests include myeloma; developing cellular therapy such as CAR-T cells with or without transplant; combining immunotherapy and chemotherapy in the induction, transplant, maintenance and salvage settings.
