Dr. Kim-Hien T. Dao is Assistant Professor of Medicine at Knight Cancer Institute, Center for Hematologic Malignancies, Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. She is the MDS-MPN Disease Group Leader. Dr. Dao earned her medical degree at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan and completed her hematology and oncology fellowship at the University of California at San Diego. She is a member of the American Society of Hematology and MPD Research Consortium. Dr. Dao has an NIH-funded basic research program focusing on marrow failure in Fanconi anemia, myelodysplasia and myeloproliferative neoplasms. She is active in clinical research trials in MDS and MPN.

Dr. Dao reports that she has received research funding from Celgene Corporation and Incyte Corporation. She has also received an honorarium for serving on advisory board meetings sponsored by Incyte Corporation.
