Jay Connolly
Living With CLLJay Connolly was born in Dawson Creek, British Columbia, in 1962. He holds a B.A. in English Literature and an M.A. in Writing from the University of Victoria. Since 1986, he has taught at Shawnigan Lake School on Vancouver Island. In addition to coaching and teaching, Jay has served as English Department Head and Director of Studies, but stepped away from those roles to concentrate on classroom teaching.
In 2004, he was appointed as the Hinton Chair for Teaching Excellence at St. Michaels-University School in Victoria. He is married to Maureen Connolly, with whom he has two adult sons. Jay Connolly has published four books—Dancewater Blues, Rough Diamond, Cherchons and Century.
