Edward S. Kim, MD
OncologistDr. Kim received his BS (1992) and MD (1996) from Northwestern University, his residency in internal medicine from Baylor College of Medicine (1996-99) and his fellowship from MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas in oncology (1999-2002). He was Associate Professor of Medicine, Chief of the Section of Head and Neck Medical Oncology and Director of Clinical Research Operations (2002-2012). Dr. Kim studies novel targeted agents and has expertise in lung and head and neck cancer. He served as lead investigator on numerous clinical studies including the BATTLE personalized medicine lung cancer trial. Dr. Kim is a member ASCO, AACR, SWOG and IASLC. He has several national grants and awards from ASCO, AACR and the V Foundation. Dr. Kim has also authored more than 100 articles, book chapters and reviews in journals such as The Lancet, The Lancet Oncology, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Cancer Discovery, Cancer, Nature Medicine, and Cancer Prevention Research.
