Barbara Klencke, MD

Dr. Klencke is an accomplished oncology drug developer with a demonstrable track record of success, having made substantial contributions to the development and approval of numerous significant oncology products. Since 2015, Dr. Klencke has been the Chief Development Officer at Sierra Oncology. Previously, Dr. Klencke served as Head of Development at Onyx Pharmaceuticals, a subsidiary of Amgen Inc., and prior to that led oncology development teams at Genentech, Inc. since 2003. Prior to that, Dr. Klencke was an Assistant Professor of Medicine, Division of Oncology and Hematology at the University of California, San Francisco Medical Center. Dr. Klencke holds a BS from Indiana University and an MD from the University of California, Davis.
