Award-Winning Breast Surgeon Underscores the Importance of Multi-Disciplinary Care

Dr. Benjamin Anderson from the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance was awarded the 2011 Partners in Progress award from the American Society of Clinical Oncology in recognition of his work with the Breast Health Global Iniative; work that helps craft guidelines for best practices in breast care. In this interview from ASCO 2011, Dr. Anderson explains the benefits of the multi-disciplinary breast health care approach where a team including medical, surgical, and radiation specialists come together to 'empower the patient to make her own decisions with the best information available' with regards to her treatment options.
