Advantages of Living Donor Kidney Transplants

As always, donated kidneys are in short supply. For the loved ones of someone with end-stage kidney failure, considering becoming a living donor could be a tremendous gift. Dr. Peter Abt from the University of Pennsylvania explains the significant benefit of this type of transplant in keeping patients off of dialysis.
