Conference Coverage is Sponsored through an educational grant from BIOMARIN The PKU Community Comes TogetherThe PKU community is a strong one, and people with PKU and their families are generous with their support for one another. That spirit of sharing was evident at the International Conference for Adults and Teens with PKU in Chicago held August 15-16, 2008. The grassroots gathering drew more than 220 people including more than 90 teens and adults with PKU, their family members, health care professionals, dietitians, and other supporters. The two-day event offered a chance to hear from experts about the latest advances in the management of PKU, attend programs to learn important social skills, and maybe most importantly, to share their own personal stories and experiences with one another. If you would like to be added to a list to receive information regarding a conference in 2010, please send an email with your name, postal address and relationship to PKU to Sarah Foster. (Date and location of the 2010 meeting are TBD). Programs in this Series:
