Hypoplastic left heart syndrome is when the left side of the heart, the part that pumps oxygenated blood to the rest of the body, is underdeveloped. In this program a leading cardiologist from UCSF Children's Hospital will discuss how this condition is diagnosed and treated. You will also hear from the Stephanie, her daughter, Olivia, was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome and is doing well today thanks to her treatment at UCSF Children's.

Mother of Olivia
Stephanie is the Mother of Olivia. Olivia was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome. She was treated at UCSF Children's Hospital and has undergone two of the three surgeries necessary to treat this condition. Olivia is an active and thriving toddler today.
