Diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2006, Michelle DeKok underwent chemotherapy, radiation and two stem cell transplants. The collaboration and partnership between Skagit Valley Hospital in her hometown of Mount Vernon and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, in nearby Seattle, led her to enroll in a clinical trial, putting her disease in remission.
