Fighting Serious Illness and Maintaining a Career: An Anchorwoman's Perspective

Recorded on 6/25/2006

PROGRAM DETAILS:

Breaking News: The experimental therapy for one of our favorite guests has proved not to be effective. So, Kathi Goertzen is heading for surgery once again, but her spirit and determination remains the same as in the interview she recorded with Andrew two years ago. We're hopeful surgery scheduled for the coming days will help return her to good health and an active life.

Kathi Goertzen has been an anchorwoman in Seattle for many years. In this Patient Power program, she shares her story as a patient with a brain tumor. She talks with Andrew about her early symptoms and how her instinct led her to an accurate diagnosis. Ms. Goertzen candidly shares her thoughts about how ongoing treatment for a brain tumor has affected her personally and professionally. You'll hear about her challenges along the way and why she is excited about the future. Kathi shares her perspective and positivity, true Patient Power.
