Patient Power Builds Powerful Web Traffic

The Patient Power web site, www.patientpower.info, has seen an explosion in traffic in recent months and in the depth of usage by visitors. This month there are expected to be 60,000 visits, more than double the monthly traffic at the end of 2006. File downloads are triple what they were in December, 2006. On many days people download more than 700 HOURS of programs.

This is especially gratifying since there has been no big publicity about Patient Power yet. Andrew Schorr continues to host 5-7 hours of new programs a week and an increasing number of innovative medical centers help support the effort to connect patients.

What makes Patient Power unique is its perspective on medical and health issues from the patient's point of view. There is no other daily service like this, and one that covers such a broad range of topics.

While Patient Power continues to expand its depth and breadth, visitors are invited to join the "Patient Power Movement" and tell others about the website.
