Yu Po Lee, M.D.
Dr. Lee specializes in degenerative spinal disease including herniated disk, cervical myelopathy, back pain, and also minimally invasive spine surgery. He assisted on the first disc replacement performed at the Cleveland Clinic and also performed the first X-STOPs at UCSD. His main research interests are in disc regeneration and minimally invasive cervical fusions. His past research includes work on bone morphogenetic proteins and also gene therapy. Dr. Lee received his medical degree from UCLA where he also completed his residency in orthopedic surgery.
