Virdette Brumm, Ph.D.
Neuropsychologist

Virdette Laura Brumm, Ph.D. is a clinical and research neuropsychologist. Dr. Brumm is currently involved in clinical research projects at the San Francisco V.A. Medical Center and California Pacific Medical Center. Her research focuses primarily on assessing the neuropsychological and neurodevelopmental effects of brain dysfunction on cognitive and behavioral functions in pediatric, adolescent and adult populations. She was an assistant professor of clinical neurology and pediatrics at the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California, Los Angeles and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles from 1996 through 2008.

Dr. Brumm received her Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Southern California. She completed her internship at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, Worcester State Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts and her fellowship in pediatric and adult neuropsychology at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine.

Dr. Brumm is a member of several professional societies, including the American Epilepsy Society, American Psychological Association, International Neuropsychological Society, Monterey Bay Psychological Association, National Academy of Neuropsychology and Northern California Neuropsychology Forum. Dr. Brumm has received various awards throughout her career at USC/Keck School of Medicine, including the Junior Faculty Academic Career Development Award for 2002–2004.
