Dr. Abdi is Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology at the University of Miami School of Medicine. Prior to his current appointment, Dr. Abdi was the Director of Division of Pain at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Dr. Abdi earned his medical degrees from the University of Münster Medical School in Germany and trained as Anesthesiologist at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He completed his fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch and the Shriners Burns Institute. His main clinical interest includes low back pain, complex regional pain syndrome, cancer pain, myofascial pain and whiplash injury.
