Peter Frishauf
Peter Frishauf, founder of Medscape – one of the leading websites to educate doctors, had high PSA levels but had a negative biopsy. It took sometime for Peter to be formally diagnosed, but in the end, research and self-education, allowed him to make informed decisions in his care. Peter started his career as a medical writer in 1972 after graduating from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. He served as Medscape’s CEO until February, 1998 when he became Chairman of its Executive Committee and was a member of its Board of Directors through its IPO and until its merger with MedicaLogic/Medscape, Inc in May, 2000.
