Pamela Melendez
Had a Stroke in 2009
Pamela is 54-years-old and lives on Bainbridge Island. In July of 2009 she woke of feeling dizzy and then her right arm went limp. Knowing something was very wrong, she immediately yelled for her daughter to call 9-1-1. Pamela was having a stroke and was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center. Because Pamela acted quickly, she was able to receive a “clotbuster” drug and today suffers no lasting effects of the stroke. Her story is one that reminds you to always listen to your body.
