Michael McCannel, a 75-year-old retired military colonel, was surprised with a pancreatic cancer diagnosis. He reported a feeling of fatigue to his primary care physician who recommended an endoscopy. This test confirmed a tumor. After minimally invasive surgery for pancreatic cancer, Michael is doing well and enrolled in a clinical trial. He is happily married to his wife of over 50 years, Lilia, keeps a busy social calendar and tries to keep up with his grandchildren.
