Maryam Naziri is a Metabolic Dietitian at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Mrs. Naziri works with patients of all ages that have a diagnosis of Phenylketonuria (PKU) as well as other metabolic disorders such as Maple Syrup Urine Disease (MSUD), Organic Acidemias, Fatty Acid Oxidation Disorders and Urea Cycle Disorders. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Mrs. Naziri completed her clinical internship at various hospitals and clinics throughout the Chicago-land area including Children’s Memorial Hospital. In the past year and half she has been working closely with many adults and their families that have been affected by PKU.

Mrs. Naziri has presented information for adults with PKU returning to clinic at various educational meetings for the Adult Outreach Program. Mrs. Naziri has also been a facilitator of one of the several break-out discussions on the topic of school-age children with PKU at the Annual PKU meeting in Illinois.
