Katie Moser, 27, is a courageous young woman who chose to be tested for Huntington’s Disease and found out she was positive for the serious genetic condition. Her mother, grandfather, and at least two other relatives had already been living with the diagnosis. Rather than keep it a secret, Katie, who has had no symptoms, decided to help others by “going public.” Beyond that, she now serves as patient advocacy manager for a pharmaceutical company with an apporved medication for a common sympton of the disease.
