Jane Paulsen, Ph.D.
Dr. Paulsen is Professor of Psychiatry, Neurology, Psychology and Neurosciences at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine and has been active in HD research for over fifteen years. She was one of the founding members of the Huntington Study Group (HSG) and served as neuropsychologist for the Venezuela Research Project from 1993 to 1998. Dr. Paulsen is presently the principal investigator of the Huntington’s Disease Society of America (HDSA) HD Center of Excellence at the University of Iowa. Dr. Paulsen has worked on several multi-site and Center grants through the University of California San Diego and more recently at Iowa. She has published over 120 peer reviewed manuscripts as well as two books and a video on HD. Dr. Paulsen is married, the mother of 2 children and enjoys horses and chocolate.
