Dr. Gregory Ewald is Medical Director of the Cardiac Transplant Program at Barnes-Jewish and Washington University Transplant Center. He completed his medical degree at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Ewald went on to a residency and chief residency in internal medicine at Barnes Hospital at Washington University School of Medicine, followed by a clinical fellowship in cardiology at Washington University School of Medicine. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease. Dr. Ewald specializes in congestive heart failure (CHF), heart transplant, acute myocardial infarction, pulmonary hypertension, high blood pressure, cardiomyopathy, coronary heart disease, endocarditis and angina pectoris. He was recognized as a "Best Doctor in America" in the August 2009 issue of St. Louis Magazine.
