David F. Teitel, M.D.
Dr. David Teitel is chief of the Division of Pediatric Cardiology and medical director of the UCSF Pediatric Heart Center. His patient care activities are centered in the cardiac catheterization laboratory, where he performs diagnostic and interventional procedures on infants, children and adults with congenital heart disease. Dr. Teitel is an expert in the adaptations of the newborn cardiovascular system to birth and the alterations that occur with congenital heart disease. He co-authored a book on this topic, titled "Neonatal Cardiology," and gives lectures throughout North America and Europe on the heart and circulation in the fetus and child.
