Living with CML

Dan Sloan, an avid runner, hasn’t let a diagnosis of chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) slow him down. The 42-year old technology consultant from Dunwoody, Georgia was barely able to finish a run when first diagnosed in March 2011. Thanks to successful treatment he’s now back to 5K and 10K runs. The father of three says having CML drives his priorities now - family, fitness and diet - all leading to wholeness and well-being that enable him to strike a good balance in managing his medical condition. Dan also volunteers his time to support others with CML and facilitates the Atlanta CML Connection™ support group for The National CML Society.
