Chris Wade, owner of a successful bakery in San Francisco and the father of four kids, faced down heart-failure with the help of a leading medical team at UCSF. He had success with support from a mechanical heart pump (Ventricular Assist Device). This procedure was the 'bridge to life' that offered him hope and ultimately allowed time for a heart transplant. He is now 'back to feeling 100 percent' and enjoying time with family
