Chris Veasley

National Vulvodynia Association
Ms. Veasley is the associate executive director of the National Vulvodynia Association (NVA), a nonprofit organization that serves vulvar pain patients and medical professionals that care for women with vulvar pain disorders. She received a B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin in 1997. She worked as a research assistant in the department of Neurology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine investigating the neurophysiological mechanisms of pelvic inflammation and pain before coming to the NVA. In her current position, Ms. Veasley develops educational programs for the patient and medical communities, attends national healthcare conferences, meets with representatives from the pharmaceutical industry to facilitate research and development of novel treatments for vulvodynia and works with members of Congress and the National Institutes of Health to encourage increased federal research funding of vulvodynia studies.
