Dr. Bruel is new to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.  He was previously an Assistant Professor in the Departments of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Anesthesiology and Pain Management at the Southwestern Medical School and McDermontt Center for Pain Management.  He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the New York Medical College St. Vincent Catholic Medical Centers in Brooklyn and Queens.  He was Chief Resident at Baylor College of Medicine in Pain Management and Rehabilitation, where he was awarded the Outstanding Resident Teacher of the Year award. He completed a fellowship in 2007 at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Pain Management.  Dr. Bruel is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine.  He belongs to the Professional Associations of the American Academy of Medicine and Rehabilitation, Association of Academic Physiatrists and American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.
