Dr. Asher Chanan-Khan is an Attending Physician in the Department of Medicine at Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) and Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Buffalo School of Medicine & Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Chanan-Khan graduated from Allama Iqbal Medical College of Punjab University in Pakistan and went on to complete residency training in Internal Medicine at the College of Physicians & Surgeons, Columbia University, Harlem Hospital Center. He completed and fellowships in Clinical Hematology and Clinical Oncology at the New York University School of Medicine. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with subspecialty eligibility in Medical Oncology/Hematology. Dr. Chanan-Khan is a diplomate with the American Board of Internal Medicine and a member of the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Clinical Oncologists, the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association. He has authored or co-authored several journal publications, book chapters and abstracts. His research interests include novel therapies for multiple myeloma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
