Dr. Smith is a graduate of Cornell University and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed her general surgery internship and urology residency at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Smith completed a two year fellowship at University of California, Los Angeles, in Female Urology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery under the guidance and mentorship of Dr. Shlomo Raz who pioneered the vaginal approach to reconstructive surgery. She is extensively trained in pelvic floor and voiding dysfunction with expertise in video-urodynamic evaluation and surgical reconstruction with an emphasis on minimally invasive techniques
