Dr. Avellino is the director of UW Medicine Neurosciences Institute in Seattle, Washington. He also serves as Professor of Neurological Surgery and Professor of Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine. Dr. Avellino earned his medical degree at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons. He went on to complete an eight-year residency in Neurological Surgery at the University of Washington and a one-year pediatric neurosurgical fellowship at the Seattle Children’s Hospital. Dr. Avellino is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and the American Board of Pediatric Neurological Surgery.
