Dr. Andrew Leeds is a Lecturer at the University of California, San Francisco School of Pharmacy and has been on the faculty since 1978. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy from University of California, San Francisco where he also completed his residency in clinical and hospital pharmacy. Dr. Leeds coordinates the Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences in ambulatory care and community pharmacy for students in the Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum. His research interests include the role of the pharmacist in the community and as a co-manager of drug therapy in a primary care setting, the use of algorithms and other forms of decision protocols and the influencing of prescribing behavior, and the influence of health policy and economics on pharmacy practice.
