Dr. Patel is Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at University of Utah Orthopaedic Center. He received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and M.D. from Northwestern University Medical School. Dr. Patel completed his internship and orthopaedic surgical residency at Washington University School of Medicine/Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, followed by a fellowship in spine surgery and neurosurgery at the Rothman Institute at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. His clinical and research interests include cervical spine surgery, minimally invasive spine surgery, motion preserving spine surgery and disc replacement.
